Why didn't I think of that sooner?

It just dawned on me why I may have started spotting on P+8 last cycle and only just squeaked by P+10 before AF came on. The B6. I had just finished a 60 day supply of 500mg extended release B6 on CD5. Mind you, I started 100mg the next day, but 500mg to 100mg is quite a drop. B6 is supposed to help extend the Luteal Phase (LP) and can be useful for problems such as Luteal Phase Defect (too short post peak period). Take it away, and what happens? Perhaps spotting and a shortend LP? I wish I had thought of this sooner. It would have saved my no end of frustration.

Today's my semiannual FertilityCare appointment. I don't know what we'll go over - same stuff, I suppose. I was kind of hoping we'd be discussing how my last cycle resolved itself into a BFP. No such luck. My next appointment with Dr. S won't be for another agonizingly long 8 weeks, so we won't have anything to discuss there either. Now I'm just praying that it'll turn into an appointment to discuss my miraculous pregnancy and come up with a game plan on making sure that it ends with a healthy baby. Dare to dream.

Not much more to discuss on the TTC front.

DH and I had an impromptu date night last night. We ran over to Hershey Theatre to pick up the tickets we'd ordered for several shows: Wizard of Oz, Legally Blond (yes, it's now a play), Grease, and Chorus Line. While we were there, we learned they were having a presale for two more shows: Stomp and Lord of the Dance. All ticket holders coming in for the ticket pick up yesterday had first pick. DH was so excited to see Stomp coming through again. I really enjoyed Lord of the Dance when it came through years ago. We had to get seats for both. So now we're seeing six shows during the 2009 - 2010 season. We're very excited.

After the theatre, we stopped by a local restaurant called The Hershey Pantry and had a lovely meal. Their food is quite good and reasonably priced. The place doesn't look that impressive when seen from the outside - average I'd say - but it's one of those diamonds in the rough. If you ever come through Hersey, I'd recommend it.

Must sign off and get back to work. Break time is over.

Why do you have such a short luteal phase? Low progesterone?

Those shows sound SO exciting!!!!!

Interesting about the B6. I didn't know that it lengthened the luteal phase. Interestingly enough I started active B6 this cycle about mid-way through my luteal phase... maybe part of the reason I made it all the way to P+17. ;o)

I love impromptu date nights with my DH. You're so lucky to get to see so many good shows in one season!

I don't normally have a short LP, but I was taking the B6 for better CM. I'm assuming it impacted the LP when it decreased so quickly ("it" being the B6, not the CM). I can ask my FertilityCare practitioner this evening.
