I haven't been posting much because not much has been happening. I'll take that as a good thing. They tell you to be careful what you wish for because you may get it (except for a baby, of course - I've wished for that for how long and still nothing). I won't wish for any excitement. Who knows in what form that could come?
DH and I are planning for a vacation next week in Newport, RI. Poor DH is in dither. He's the consummate planner. He's not entirely comfortable unless we've planned exactly what we're going to do and when. Which we haven't. We have a list of things we're definitely going to do - the Cliff Walk, the mansions, the lighthouse cruise, the ghost tour, the vineyards - and a list of things we'll do if we get a chance, but no exact time when we'll do them. I'm satisfied with that. We went to Niagara last year with the same level of preparation and had a wonderful time. I know this vacation will turn out as well. As soon as he loosens his grip on the itinerary, we'll have a great time. Okay, he's not that bad, but he's my Type A planner.
Nothing much happening otherwise. In cycle news, we're 5DPO. AF should be arriving right around our 2nd anniversary. She has impeccable timing that way. I won't be crushed. I'm expecting her to come just as she always does and refuse to get upset about it this month. She's not happy about that, hence the timing of it all. I'll admit that I don't relish having a heavy day while we're doing the Cliff Walk, but she's not putting a damper on my vacation. Maybe I can't completely ignore her, but I can be bolshie too. (Don't you just love that word? I discovered it this morning. It means uncooperative. I may name my next cat after it.)

I hope you have a great vacation, despite the pending AF. She has also had awful timing for me in the past year- I sure hope I am done with her appearances for a year or more!!
Have a great and relaxing vacation. I try not to let AF bother me either. It never helps to get upset. AF never really bothered me until we were TTC'ing...then it became painful and emotional. Have fun and I hope the weather cooperates better than AF. :)
Your DH sounds like my kind of people! I plan everything. One vacation, I had every second planned and then realized my DH might want some more free time so I famously said, "If you want more spontaneous time, I can plan for it." DH has never let me live that down. Hope you have a great one.
Ann, that is pretty funny! Scheduled spontaneity.
