Daylight Savings Time is a ridiculous concept at 5:25 in the morning, especially a Monday morning. The passage of three hours doesn't make it any more palatable. My mood is particularly foul this morning. It's like PMS . . . an hour earlier. Not even my computer wants to work correctly.
On the upside, the weekend was wonderful. Beautiful weather. I had a chance to prune back the wild rose bushes that were threatening to overwhelm several saplings springing up along the tree line. We have two poplars, a black walnut, a choke cherry, and some tree I don't recognize but which has really interesting bark. I like trees. I like the wild rose bushes. The two don't mix well now, but when the trees are large enough, the wild rose bushes are going to look wonderful climbing up the trunks.
Our cat and dog truly enjoyed themselves. Muggles spent most of the weekend sitting at the screen of the basement window I had opened to warm up the basement. We have a bird feeder out there that thoroughly entrances her. She makes a bee line for it every time I take her out on the leash. Sadie had several nice, long walks. That's good since our little girl needs to lose some weight. We lost a little ground this morning when she inhaled Muggles' unfinished can of cat food. My fault: I need to remember to put that out of her reach.
Mired in the two week wait. It's not too bad right now. I expect to gain a bra size in a day or two. That's about the only thing I like about the two week wait: I have a chest. The first half of the two week wait is actually the least stressful part of my cycle. I don't need to worry about timing or anything else regarding peak time, and it's too early to start obsessing about whether this cycle will end with a BFP or AF. I enjoy the break.
The day is looking up. I'm awake now, and I had the most incredible avocado sandwich for lunch. I added oninions and mustard this time. Being on an avocado kick made every bite that much more satisfying. I feel like Homer Simpson sitting in front of an open box of doughnuts. I could go for another. I'm thankful that DH bought me two more avocados for later. It's the small things that he does that make me love him even more (DH, not Homer Simpson).
