The Christmas lights are up. I do not like those little twinkle lights. Even when I wind them up so very carefully, they still end up as one massively annoying tangle. They had me kneeling on the ground in near tears at one point. I much, much prefer the big Christmas lights that I grew up with. We have a few strings which I put up with the twinkle lights. They look so pretty, both alone and combined with the twinkle lights.
Our tree went up yesterday too. We'll try to get it decorated sometime this week. Let's see how long it takes before the cat starts chewing on the branches. I think she does it to goad DH into chasing her, the little bugger. It works every time.
And now, on to Progesterone. It has been interesting. It's not the usual cocao butter based suppository: it's powder in a capsule. Even so, it leaks out leaving a sticky, chalky mess in my underwear (oh, I should have warned you, TMI). I have noticed a difference while using it. I'm tired and the girls have been sore since a day after I started it. It's doing something. Maybe it'll really work and help lengthen the 2nd half of my cycle and kill the spotting. I can be just like a normal person.
For those of you who are interested, today begins the Christmas Anticipation Prayer. It is believed that whoever recites the below prayer 15 times a day from the feast of St. Andrew (today) through Christmas Day will obtain what is asked.
Hail and blessed be the hour and moment in which the Son of God was born of the most pure Virgin Mary, at midnight, in Bethlehem, in the piercing cold. In that hour vouchsafe, O my God, to hear my prayer and grant my desires, [here mention your request] through the merits of Our Savior, Jesus Christ, and of His blessed Mother. Amen.
Take wild guess what my request is. You'll never guess.

I know, I know what your intention is!! It's that your twinkle lights do not get tangled up for next Christmas, right? :)
Thanks for posting the prayer, I will definately recite it with you each day.
I've been putting up the Christmas decorations too...we really don't put lights up around our house...my dh has no interest getting on a ladder...when I was a kid...I used to get so excited when my father put the lights up....maybe if we had children we'd feel differently.
Yes, that's it! Okay, not really, but I would give a lot to not have tangled lights next year.
I will be joining you in that prayer as well! God Bless!
I second that about DH and ladders. And having our son hasn't changed that, so far anyway. He did help more with the tree this year (fake) and said we could chop one day when C is old enough to appreciate it :) Thanks for the prayer!
