Not much happening

Not much happening. DH and I took off this week to do yard work. We've finished the mulching (I truly dislike the annual mulch-a-thon, but it's a necessary evil), and the tomatoes are in the ground, but we still need to plant the peppers, marigolds, bulbs, and other flowers . . . on some other day than today. It's been raining all day, so nothing else has been done.

Good news about MIL: she's still scheduled for surgery on June 10 to repair the compressed vertebra, but the surgery shouldn't be very invasive. It's called a vertebroplasty. They'll either numb the area or sedate her and use a fluroscope to guide a needle to the compressed vertebra. From there they'll inject a cement into the fracture. Relief can occur immediately or up to 48 hours. She'll be required to stay overnight, something which isn't ordinarily needed with this procedure. It'll be a precaution due to her COPD.

I should run. DH needs to use the computer. I really should let him since he's been good enough not to complain about my usurping his spot. He's a sweetie.

Sounds like you've had a productive week!! Hope you have fun planting the rest of the flowers/veggies! It has been raining here all day, too- the soil will be nice and soft when you go to plant!

Good news (I think?) about your MIL- hope the surgery is a success!
