They moved the imaging center where I was to get the ultrasound done. It's now across the street in a new building which opened last month. I had a sneaking suspicion it may have been moved. Even when I called them and listened to the driving directions on their voicemail system - leading to the old address, I might add - I thought it could be wrong. Well, I figured it out in the end and made it to the proper place with time to spare.
The ultrasound is interesting when I can see the images on the screen. I may have no idea what I'm looking at - although I think I made some pretty good educated guesses based on the captions on the screen - but it keeps me occupied. It's when I can't see anything that's the problem, and I can't see anything when we move to the internal u/s. It's booooring, or at least as boring as anything can be with a giant stick shoved into ones nether regions. I amused myself by seeing how my words I could come up with beginning with "A". Tomorrow, I'll throw caution to the winds and try "M" or "N". Oh, and note to self: don't wear a skirt and stockings to the next one. Makes for some awkward moments.
The imaging center was going to forward the results to Dr. S immediately. I have another u/s scheduled for tomorrow where I'm sure they'll follow the same procedure. After that, I don't know what happens. I suppose Dr. S's office will call me to let me know when/if another u/s should be scheduled. Come to think of it, I have another blood draw two hours following the u/s. Maybe they'll let me know what's up then. Until then . . .
