At least a dozen more to go. We had a first prenatal appointment today. It was essentially your basic gynecological appointment with an ultrasound and a whole lot of questions thrown in. Can I just say how unnatural it is to lie on a table in plain view of everyone in the entire room with your legs wide open and someone staring in between them with a light? Honestly, I will never get used to that. My first, overriding instinct is to keep my knees glued together. By overriding, I mean they keep gravitating together the moment I take my mind off them. It's just not natural. You'd think I'd be used to it by now.
Dr. S says everything looks good (my goodness, I'm blushing - ha, ha). Junior looked more human on the u/s with miniature arms and legs sticking out. We actually saw the placenta, too. That's was interesting. And a flickering heartbeat. I was hoping to see some movement, but alas, no. Someone wasn't in the mood to put on a show . . . the little bugger.

I am so happy to hear you had a wonderful appointment, besides having to spread your legs...I don't like that either.
Many prayers,
Amber
This made me laugh! I'm with ya on the unnatural nature of it all!
So glad everything looks good!! :-)
Wonderful! I remember being totally paranoid about "showing" my body when I had my son. After labor, I could have cared less! Now it doesn't bother me at all. It'll get better!
