Back to the pig pills

I received my thyroid results from last week. My thyroid prescription has been upped to 1.5 tablets. I didn't realize that meant going back to the Armour Thyroid. The things we do for a baby.

On the up side, I haven't heard anything on the glucose screening or iron level results. The nurse told me before I left that no news is good news. I suppose it's good news, then. Surprising, at least when it comes to the iron. I'm an ovo-lacto vegetarian, meaning I don't eat meat, but I do eat egg and dairy products. I thought for sure my iron levels would be low.

We go for our first birth preparation class today. When we first scheduled it in February, I never imagined we'd make it to this point. It was so far away. I was half afraid we were tempting fate. Truth be told, I still am, but I'm managing to bury it underneath a host of other feelings so it's not quite as noticeable. I'm especially excited about the tour of the birthing center we'll be taking during one of these classes. I want to see what we're getting into.

I had my first dream of what our little girl will look like once she's born. Homely. She had a caveman forehead and an adult looking nose too big for her little face. It was my nose, if you must know. I kept thinking she didn't look anything like that in the ultrasound. She was still cute in her own way, but I suspect I only thought so because I was her mother. Mind you, I don't believe this dream for a moment. I know she can't be anything but adorable since she has my DH's genes (I'm not biased, nope).

I hope your first birth prep went well. I hope you're right about no news being good news on the iron and glucose. Sorry you have do deal with crazy big thyroid pills again.

Yeah, I just did the ticker last week. It's down further in the blog so it's not too glaring.
