We had another prenatal appointment yesterday. Everything is going well. Kate is growing, moving, and finally head down. How they can tell this from a Doppler, I'm not sure, but they're the experts. I was shocked to learn I gained ten pounds since the last appointment. That's according to the OB's scale. Ours only shows five pounds. I like ours better.
We told the midwife about the spinach recall due to possible Listeria contamination. She promptly informed us that if I were going to get sick, it would have happened already. Whew! I'm so happy to hear that. That news plus additional information we were able to dig up on the recall (the contaminated bag had a 6/23/2010 "best by" date while DH is nearly certain ours was 6/19/2010 (how he remembers these things is beyond me)) and Listeria (women exposed to Listeria but have no symptoms show no greater incidence of stillbirth or birth defects).
That said, we made another foray into the world of the fertile otherwise known as Babies 'R Us and bought a carrier/car seat and stroller. It's not normal to step into that store and feel like I'm like all the other women there. Not normal at all. It makes for a nice change, but it takes some getting used to. I don't need to stare covetously at other women's bellies. I have one, too. Who'd have ever thought that?
The transition for IFer to IFer with a baby on the way is gradually taking place. I can't (or won't, I can't tell) completely let go of the worry out of the unreasonable fear that to do so would be tempting fate. Buying a stroller and car seat and - hold on to your seats - diapers is more than enough temptation for this faint heart.

I'm glad to hear your appointment went well and your midwife allayed your concerns about the listeria. Good luck at Babies 'R Us, and continuing the transition to being an IFer with a baby.
Glad you feel better about the spinach. Whew is right!
My gosh, your sweet girl is going to be in your arms before you know it! Wow!!!
